The odds to win Super Bowl 54 are starting to heat up as December arrives. Contenders are separating from pretenders as the battle to the postseason is down to the final month of play.
Buffalo, Seattle undervalued?
Three months ago, not many NFL experts would have said that the Buffalo Bills would be a great pick to win the Super Bowl. Don’t be fooled, they are.
The Bills, along with the Seattle Seahawks, just keep winning, yet they don’t get the attention that teams like New England, Baltimore, and New Orleans get.
That’s okay; they probably like it that way. While it will be hard for either team to make it to the big game in Miami next February, the odds make them worth the risk.
Buffalo is playing great defense, and they have one thing going for them that not many teams do – no one takes them seriously.
At +6000, meaning a $100 wager wins you $6000, well, those odds are hard to pass on.
The same case can be made with the Seahawks. For as good as Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are playing, they are still +1100 to win the Super Bowl.
Don’t underestimate these guys. They could be the surprise team that comes out of the NFC this year.
Keep this in mind too. The Carolina Panthers reached Super Bowl 50 at +5800 odds. Also, the Philadephia Eagles were the No. 6 seed in the 2018 postseason with a backup QB named Nick Foles taking the starting role.
We all know how that +7000 odds on Philly turned out!
Brady vs. Jimmy G?
A ton of NFL fans hates the Patriots. Just like the New York Yankees, when you win a lot, fans love to see you lose.
One matchup that some anti-Patriots fans wouldn’t mind seeing is San Francisco vs. New England in SB 54.
The fact is that Tom Brady’s replacement never got his chance because, well, Tom Brady just never ages. But to see the Patriots trade Jimmy Garoppolo away for basically nothing and then have Garoppolo take the Niners to the Super Bowl – against his former team?
That is must-see TV, and Vegas sportsbooks know it!
Sports Odds Daily via Oddsshark indicates that while New England is still the favorite to win it all, the Niners are getting a lot of love from the gamblers.

This game would be the ultimate East vs. West, old vs. new, coach vs. coach showdown! It also would be a massive draw for TV and sportsbooks as the die-hard Patriots fans would be cheering for championship No. 7, while the Niners fans would be trying to reclaim their stake in NFL supremacy.
San Francisco is listed at +550, a far cry from the +3300 they were set at when training camp opened.
