Tom Brady is loved everywhere in the New England region, and his Massachusetts roots continue to grow deeper by the year. But Brady will tell you that he will always be a “Michigan Man,” and he displayed that at New England’s latest practice session.
Brady ready for Ohio State
Tom Brady won’t be suiting up to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes this weekend when OSU invades Ann Arbor, but he will be the first to admit he wishes he could.
Brady still talks highly of his time when he lived in the Great Lakes State and attended the University of Michigan.
If the rookies on the New England Patriots roster didn’t know that Brady attended Michigan, they do now.
When you have started the most Super Bowl games in modern NFL history, your team cuts you a lot of slack. That was evident on Friday when the Patriots were practicing for their upcoming game against the Houston Texans.
According to Saturday Tradition, Brady had the coaches turn the speakers up loud as the Michigan fight song “The Victors” rang out in the background.

Just by watching the clip revealed by Michigan Football’s Twitter page, Brady was obviously channeling his inner Wolverine.
Another former Wolverines star, linebacker Chase Winovich, was most likely enjoying the fight song that he has heard so many times on Saturday afternoons as well. Winovich was drafted by the Patriots in 2019.
Wolverines big home underdogs
While Tom Brady will most likely be watching the big game between the Buckeyes and Wolverines on Saturday, he has to be hoping that his good friend and fellow former Wolverine quarterback Jim Harbaugh can finally walk off the field with a win against OSU.
Harbaugh has not defeated Ohio State since he was hired in 2014.
Brady, who still heads back to Ann Arbor when he gets a chance, has said that his biggest achievement in football was becoming a team captain at Michigan.
“The biggest honor in my football career was being named team captain at Michigan,” Brady said at one of his motivational speeches back at the university.
The players won’t need motivation when they hit the field on Saturday against OSU. They know they can ruin the Buckeyes’ perfect season — and in this heated rivalry, that should be motivation enough!
Vegas oddsmakers have Ohio State favored by nine points, which is the biggest underdog spread Michigan has had this season.
Kickoff for Michigan vs Ohio State is slated for 12 p.m. ET Saturday, November 30.
