The NBA lottery selection takes place Tuesday night and the eyes of millions of basketball fans will be on the event. Included among those fans is Duke star Zion Williamson, who is expected to become the No. 1 pick of the 2019 NBA Draft.
Fourteen teams that failed to make the 2019 NBA Playoffs have received the opportunity of winning the first selection. When the NBA lottery selection takes place, it will settle all of the conjecture about which franchise will land a player that some analysts are calling the best college prospect in years.

What time is the NBA lottery selection?
As outlined by the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery schedule, the results will be revealed at 5:30 p.m. PT (8:30 p.m. ET) on May 14. It will take place on ESPN, followed by Game 1 of the 2019 Western Conference Finals.
That’s when things will start to get really interesting, as teams not selecting players in the top few picks will become more likely to part with their first-round picks. It could lead to a number of deals taking place over the next few months.
“I look forward to coaching such phenomenal talent and bringing my strategic vision to the team.”

What are the L.A. Lakers odds at getting the No. 1 pick in 2019 NBA Draft?
Breaking down the NBA lottery odds for the L.A. Lakers reveals that the team has a 2.0 percent chance at securing the No. 1 pick. The Lakers also have a 2.2 percent chance at No. 2, a 2.4 percent chance at No. 3, and a 2.8 percent chance at No. 4. That gives the team a 9.4 percent chance of landing a top-four pick.
Unfortunately for Lakers fans, the team also has a 77.6 percent chance of getting the No. 11 pick in the draft. That’s where the NBA lottery odds project the team to select when the dust has settled. It doesn’t bar the franchise from making a trade, but it would take away some of the value of that first-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Many players who have entered their names in the draft have also been invited to the 2019 NBA Draft Combine, which has also released a schedule.
