After the jaw-dropping and gruesome events of today’s soapy episode, The Young and the Restless fans have been left wondering, “Is Nikki leaving Y&R?”

On a related note, also on everyone’s lips is the burning question of what happened to Victor (Eric Braeden) on Y&R! Are both of them set to exit Genoa City?

Poor Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is left laying like a frozen fish in the snow with no one around to help her up, let alone bring her back to consciousness!

Nikki is the victim of a hit and run, and the perp is her own grandson, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu).

Reed is back less than a week and he’s already taking justice into his own hands, if the rumors about him knowing that Nikki whacked his dad J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) are true.

Reed is on a mission to find the killer, and if he thinks for a second that Nikki and his mom Victoria (Amelia Heinle) dumped him in a park then this felonious hit and run is no accident!

Today troubled teens Reed and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) are at a party when underage Charlie gets wasted and helpful Reed decides to drive him home. Bad idea!

Reed has no business driving either since he has a suspended license after his last infraction which also happened to involve a smashed up car that he was driving.

But Reed is a hothead with a chip on his shoulder and he gets behind the wheel with a drunk Charlie next to him. The frost makes it hard to see through the windows and just like that Reed crashes the car into poor Nikki leaving her down and unconscious.

Does this portend an exit from Y&R for Nikki? Melody Thomas Scott’s exit is merely speculation at this point, but with her hubby MIA, anything is possible!

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays during the day on CBS and on PopTV in the evening.
