The NCIS cast is joined by actor Dabney Coleman on an all-new episode. The veteran actor takes on the role of Army Corporal John Sydney on the NCIS cast.

As stated by CBS, John Sydney is an old family friend of Special Agent Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon). Sydney approaches Gibbs about joining him on a road trip, with the goal being to track down a missing military I.D. bracelet.

In a secondary story during the next episode, a Navy Lieutenant in NCIS protective custody is poisoned by an infamous drug dealer. This leads to an intriguing case that is investigated by the NCIS team.

Who is Dabney Coleman?

Actor Dabney Coleman will appear as John Sydney on the NCIS episode called The Last Link. This will be a fun guest star for the show to have, as Coleman hasn’t been appearing in many movies or television shows in recent years.

The 87-year-old Coleman has been around Hollywood for a long time. He was recently seen as a guest star during an episode of Ray Donovan.

Before that, he had a starring role on Boardwalk Empire for HBO. He played Commodore Louis Kaestner for two seasons. The role had a huge impact on the rest of the cast.

Some of the more memorable roles that Dabney Coleman has had over the years include starring appearances in War Games, You’ve Got Mail, and the Dragnet movie.

His extensive IMDb credits include 175 shows and movies. Coleman has definitely been active and has quite the number of memorable roles under his belt.

A lot of the regular NCIS cast members will also appear in the next episode of the show. That includes Sean Murray as McGee, Emily Wickersham as Ellie Bishop, Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres, and Maria Bello as Jack Sloane.
