The HBO salon starring Bill Maher was pulling no punches the other night as Donald Trump, “authentically moronic” according to panel guest Rob Reiner, was added to by Maher saying if he were a woman “he’d be Carly Fiorina.”
“Tell me what is masculine about Donald Trump,” Maher asked his panelists.
“I don’t see anything masculine about this guy — the most thin-skinned erratic non-logical whiny person in the world. That’s the ‘old woman’ stereotype. But I don’t see what is so masculine about him.”
It was the panelist and political strategist Kellyanne Conway in the first clip who got under the skin of Maher out of the gate. She lauded Sanders saying in effect that he was the voice of change, and Maher accused her of a manipulative narrative. She also got into it with Bill on his use of the word “rube” when describing voters who do not use facts to inform themselves on important issues. Animal rights advocate Wayne Pacelle was the top-of-show interview guest who explained the bad blood between him and PETA. Journalist Thomas Frank was the mid-show interview guest. The roundtable guests were Conway, journalist Mark Leibovich and the man who lightened up the conversation, director Rob Reiner.
Reiner saved his best lines for Trump. “It was the same crap when he didn’t have the teleprompter” when laying into the “teleprompter” serious Trump talk the other day. “I said a lot of things and I have a very good brain,” as Maher said the audience likes Trump unscripted, like the Kardashians.
“He’s gold for you [comedians] guys..” said Reiner. “It’s all about money…” Maher and Reiner agreed that money needs to get out of politics, and that money needs to get out of the news too. “We need to get the idiocy of media…” said Leibovich.
“ISIS, he talks about it like we haven’t rolled them back,” Maher said of Trump’s foreign policy rhetoric.
“I think Trump is authentic, yes, I think he’s *actually* a douchebag from Queens.” – @BillMaher

The rollicking Friday night talk show has already been renewed for a 15th season of 35 editions, scheduled for 2017.
Opening monologue, Trump is out of California!
Wayne Pecelle, PETA and Wayne Pecelle “PETA is tough” on their posture about Sea World.
Maher let Trump have it over the “woman issue”:
“Tell me what is masculine about Donald Trump. I don’t see anything masculine about this guy, [he is] the most thin-skinned erratic non-logical whiny person in the world. That’s the ‘old woman’ stereotype. But I don’t see what is so masculine about him.”
Conway, who is pro-Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said trump put Clinton “on notice” and women’s votes were in play.
“They’re [women] voting for Bernie Sanders, so why is that? If it were just as simple as, ‘I’m pro-choice’ or ‘I’m for pay inequality’ she’d be running away with it, Bill, she would be the nominee.”
