Evidence is discovered on The Curse of Oak Island which suggests a link between the Templars and the Medieval cross which was found on last week’s episode.
Tonight sees further examining of the cross and its background, which points to a historic connection, while next week’s episode sees new evidence uncovered which strengthens the link to the Knights Templar.
The revelations come as this week sees the team hit an apparent 10ft void while digging in the area known as H-8 while trying to locate the island’s legendary Money Pit. It is also speculated that the team’s hammer-grab tool may be pushing something ahead of it deeper underground.

Footage also shows the Lagina brothers and their team uncovering another large piece of bone, following the discovery of two human fragments from separate people earlier in the season — one likely from Europe and one found to have ancestral links to the Middle East.
Meanwhile, next week’s episode of The Curse of Oak Island sees maps from late treasure-hunter Fred Nolan’s archives along with a skeleton key turn up new leads in the team’s efforts to unlock the island’s mysteries.

A skeleton key and maps from Fred Nolan’s archives open a new door in the Lagina’s quest, while new evidence suggests a Templar connection to the lead cross found in Smith’s Cove.
The discovery of the Medieval cross on last week’s The Curse of Oak Island was a huge discovery for the team, and could turn out to be one of the most important ever in the history of treasure-hunting operations on Oak Island.
Last week’s episode also saw the team examine whether the 1746 Duc d’Anville expedition may have been behind the digging of the Money Pit.
Meanwhile, digging operations at H-8 saw things brought to a halt when the team hit a “flat, hard surface” at 170ft — around the exact location where they believe the so-called Chappell Vault to be.
The vault — believed to be made of wood and covered in concrete — was said to have been discovered by treasure hunters William Chappell and Frederick Blair back in 1897.
The sneak peek for this week’s episode also showed archaeologist Laird Niven being shown the newly found cross by Rick Lagina and metal-detection expert Gary Drayton in the War Room, with Gary telling him: “We think it’s going to knock your socks off.”
Laird was seen responding: “I’ve never seen anything like that before!”
Meanwhile, geologist Terry Matheson, while referring to the dig at H-8, said: “We’re down into open cavern void.” Marty was also shown saying: “It means we’re in the collapse of the Money Pit and we’re going to find what was ever in there.”
