Ms. Palin is now the leader of The Sarah Palin Channel, at a fee of $9.95 per month or $99.95 for a one-year subscription, promising coverage and opinion on “important issues facing the nation,” as well as behind-the-scenes looks into her personal life as “mother, grandmother, wife and neighbor.” Ms. Palin will curate and moderate the content as executive editor.
“I want to talk directly to you on our channel, on my terms — and no need to please the powers that be,” Ms. Palin, who is also a Fox News contributor, said in a video announcing the channel. “Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”
Ms. Palin’s daughter Bristol is also a featured blogger on the site.
Subscribers to the Sarah Palin Channel will have the ability to post their own videos and active U.S. military members can subscribe free of charge according to her website.
The heavily political site also has Ms. Palin covering entertainment too, with behind the scenes with the conservative “Duck Dynasty” Robertson clan. Ms. Palin also has posts in defense of Christmas in a post called “taking a stand for Christmas” writing: “ ‘Good Tidings and Great Joy’ is not just a Christmas book. It’s a book about the efforts to push God out of the public square and how that’s devastating for our republic and for our moral character.”
Not surprisingly, the site also has a real time counter at the top of the page that is showing the national debt and the number of days left in President Obama’s presidency.
Earlier in the month, The Sportsman Channel announced that they renewed “Amazing America With Sarah Palin” for a second season as the show’s first season propelled it to “triple-digit year-over-year growth in households and key male demographics.”
“Sportsman Channel has experienced tremendous growth this year and Sarah Palin’s involvement has proved to be an exciting boon for our network and programming initiatives,” Marc Fein, Sportsman Channel’s exec VP vice of programming and production, said in a press release.
The former Alaska Governor previously starred in the TLC reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”
