Last night’s HBO show “Real Time with Bill Maher” featured feminist Gloria Steinem, humorist P.J. O’Rourke, TV host Alex Wagner, political commentator Armstrong Williams and Erin Brockovich. Both Steinem and Brockovich were terrific and both were on point with issues of the day.
Steinem proudly revealed her age, 81, to Maher who was complementary to how she has kept it together and still looks (and sounds) like a woman half her age. The woman rocked hip huggers for Pete’s sake!
Another guest, P.J. O’Rourke also looked really good, someone gave him a bit of a makeover too. O’Rourke answers some great questions in Overtime, the clip is below. The former Lampoon editor is a Republican, one of the good ones.
Erin Brockovich came out as the mid-show guest and electrified the audience with her base knowledge of the shenanigans water districts are playing with our lives, she knows their dirty tricks and understands and explains why our country has been short changed (infrastructure decay). Bottom line? If you aren’t sure about your tap water, you may want to drink bottled water until you know for sure.
Following are highlights fromHBO’s Friday night political salon “Real Time with Bill Maher” for Friday, February 5, 2016.
Overtime:
Bill and panelists answer viewer questions after the show, P.J. answers a question about why there are so few mainstream conservative comedians and Steinem answers if the country is ready for a female president, and if the DNC’s decision to add more debates to the primary schedule has a positive impact to either of the candidates.
Brockovich nails it with her assessment of political greed and corruption creating a toxic water crisis in Flint, Michigan, and across the nation.
Erin Brockovich:
Here, Bill Maher comes out a bit as a Libertarian in New Rule – In Defense of Recklessness:
Bill Maher salutes the non-Nanny state and has more in common with Libertarians than you may realize.
