Tonight’s Real Time with Bill Maher has a great lineup and a real balance of conservative and intellectual guests — including Louise Mensch, Matt Schlapp and Chris Hayes.
The episode will cover the pressing stories of the week, and will most likely discuss at length the recent terror attack at the British Parliament in London.
Maher has booked some 800-lb gorillas of thought on the show. Up first is Matt Schlapp, a conservative political advocate and chairman of the American Conservative Union, who will face Maher as the top-of-the-show interview.
Yale historian and author Timothy Snyder is the mid-show interview. He says that educating oneself, reading more books and unplugging from the internet will save what we know as Democracy in the western world.
The panel this week includes MSNBC reporter and anchor Chris Hayes, whose second appearance on VICELAND’s Desus & Mero this week saw him talk up his new book, A Colony in a Nation.
It covers race, the prison industry, and how crime and punishment in the east Bronx and the American south are connected.
If you missed it, here is a great clip…
Also on panel is Democratic congressman Ted Lieu, who represents California’s 33rd congressional district, and conservative English author and pundit Louise Mensch, who is famous for saying she believed that Vladimir Putin poisoned Breitbart News founder Andrew Breitbart to make way for Trump’s current behind-the-scenes Iago, Steve Bannon.
The guests’ wildly opposing views will almost certainly make for seriously good viewing.
Fans can also note the good news that Real Time with Bill Maher has been renewed through 2018.
Bonus clip: In case you missed it, here is the online-only Overtime segment where Bill and his guests discuss the future of the Supreme Court and who will be the Democratic candidate to face Donald Trump in a few years.
Real Time with Bill Maher airs Fridays at 10pm ET on HBO.
