One of the most touching episodes of TLC’s My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now? is tonight’s episode featuring Susan Farmer.
Susan has lymphedema – causing unsightly extrusions of skin around and underneath her stomach.
The lumps of fluid and tissue stand in the way for Susan, who already lost half her body weight but now must get below 300 pounds before she’ll be allowed surgery to get rid of her excess skin.
All she wants to do is fit into a pair of jeans, and live a normal life.
She has already had gastric surgery, and can now walk around almost normally, but she is desperate to lose even more weight so she can go under the knife.
Susan also suffers from obesity-related neuropathy, and while she is powering through the pain and walking and swimming more, her excess skin and lymphedema are hindering her progress.
Watch My 600-LB Life: Where Are They Now? tonight at 9/8c on TLC to find out more about her story, as well as that of Bettie Jo, who battles depression and a cancer diagnosis when she finds out she’s pregnant.
