Mama June Shannon gets a taste of her own medicine on her show From Not to Hot tonight — when daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson makes her try her famous “Go Go Juice”.
Viewers were outraged back in 2012 when then Toddlers & Tiaras star Alana was shown being fed Go Go Juice — a mixture of Mountain Dew and Red Bull — by June on the show.
The juice was thought to be behind her infectious energy on the series, which made her a household name. Dr Drew even tried it after inviting the pair on to his show that year.
On the new season of From Not to Hot, Alana enters Mama June for a beauty pageant and signs herself up as her mom’s manager.
And tonight she starts the “preparations” by making Mama June try the Go Go Juice — and by the looks of it, various other sorts of strange-looking concoctions.
This week’s Mama June: From Not to Hot also sees June and her ex Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson clash at a mediation hearing, while his wife Jennifer Lamb attempts to get a paternity test to prove Sugar Bear isn’t Alana’s dad at all — so she can get June out of her hair for good.
