During Sunday’s episode of Shark Tank, viewers will be introduced to Nikki Linn, who is a clear animal lover. Even though she’s started as a co-owner of a radio station, Linn has never been able to put her passion for animals on the shelf and the Kitty Kasas is the result.

The Kitty Kasas is a low-density polyethylene box that measures about 15 x 15 x 11 inches. The boxes are both indoor and outdoor friendly, and can be easily cleaned.

The cat houses can be bought via the company’s website, where the boxes retail for various prices. You can buy a simple box for $22.99, but a more recreational box with closed sides for $69.99. Since each box offers something different, you can mix and match your own setup for your cat.

You can also find them on Amazon.

The story behind Kitty Kasas is a powerful one. Nikki and Rusty turned the basement of the radio station into a shelter for animals, but she had to relocate when the radio station sold in 1999. That’s when she used her own profits from the sale to start ARNI, the Animal Rescue Need and Intervention foundation.

Here, cats and dogs can get created for fleas and ticks, and much more. But once again, Nikki had to rethink her strategy hit in 2007 as funding dried up thanks to the recession. In the middle of figuring it all out, she was dealing with a ringworm outbreak, resulting in them throwing out the carpeted trees for the cats.

That’s when Kitty Kasas was born – out of necessity for the animals living in the shelter.

But the success of Kitty Kasas has resulted in them having enough funding for ARNI, and they help renovate animal shelters each month to give the cat facilities a brand new look with safe play areas for the animals.

Shark Tank airs Sundays at 9/8c on ABC.
