There’s a whole lot of good news in the article heading. First, Michael Hirst, the showrunner of Vikings who also was the creator of The Tudors, is bringing Henry VIII aka Jonathan Rhys Meyers back into the Hirst drama fold.
As you may remember, Jonathan Rhys Meyers was amazing as Henry VIII, paired with the lovely Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn. She, of course, is Queen Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones now.
The other fantastic news is Vikings will see a fifth season!
If you have been following Ernie Estrella and my discussions, you know that the Seer seems to be having a premonition of his own death and Floki looks to be the heir apparent.
He survived the drip torture that Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) had for him upon returning to Kattegat.
This week on Vikings, Ernie and I will discuss tonight’s episode titled “Promise” where the official tag from the network is:
“There’s an air of betrayal as those whom Odo trusts plot against him; Ecbert agrees to support Kwenthrith in Mercia; Pregnancy brings happiness to Lagertha and Kalf and a marriage is arranged.”
Juicy! The English court and the French court are going to be in the spotlight it seems. And Lagertha is knocked up! But marrying Kalf? Uh oh. Keep your eye peeled on the ongoing marital war of the roses between Ragnar and Queen Aslaug.
Marry in haste, repent at leisure! Pass the aquavit.
