If you are missing John Oliver’s takedown of corporations, current events and the latest in politics, you’ll be glad to hear Last Week Tonight with John Oliver Season 6 has a 2019 release date — although you’ll have to wait a little bit longer.

In September last year, HBO confirmed that the series had been renewed for three more seasons, which will keep the show running up until 2020. The upcoming season will feature 30 episodes and will premiere in February. 

When does Last Week Tonight come back? 

HBO has confirmed that Season 6 of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver will premiere on February 17, 2019. The series, which won two Emmys at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards last year, will continue to air every Sunday night at 11pm on HBO. 

What to expect in Season 6 of Last Week Tonight

The trailer for Season 6 of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver was released two week ago. The series will continue its satirical take on politics and current events as HBO has not announced any changes to the series structure.  

Last year, John Oliver and HBO won a lawsuit stemming from an episode about the coal mining industry and mining businessman Bob Murray.
