Hannah B’s season of The Bachelorette has started production and her list of suitors was released by ABC prior to filming. One man by the name of Joe Romeo was dropped right before the season was set to be released.

Little is known about him, but Cosmopolitan reveals that he’s 27 years old and from Staten Island, New York.

He was even on the official list released by ABC, but three people were cut from the list to make the final list of suitors 30 compared to 33. Romeo was one of the guys cut before filming began.

Reality Steve, a blogger and online personality who often spoils The Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons, posted on his website that Romeo didn’t make it to Night 1, which is filmed at the mansion in California. Joe wasn’t the only one cut. Matt Dione was also cut before Night 1, making the final list to 31.

A man named Sammy Maniscalco later dropped out on his own accord.

Joe Romeo decided to post on social media, revealing what happened.

Joe Romeo starts out the video by saying it is for his family and friends. He explains that he was set to be on a television show and therefore, went dark for a few days as he didn’t have his cellphone with him.

Joe then laughs, saying he had been kicked off the show before they started filming. When he got his phone back, he claims that he saw messages that slammed him for being a stereotype for a Staten Island Guido with anger issues.

Romeo then says that it was all based on a single photo, something he finds funny. He thanks his friend Dave for nominating him for the show, and says the good news is that he will be back for Dave’s wedding. He plans to spend some time in California, reflecting over the past year and how he will move forward.

Joe Romeo then goes into how he had a tough year, losing his grandmother to cancer. He points out that he thought The Bachelorette would be a good and positive thing for 2019.

In a second video, Romeo talks about his uncle Eddie and how he inspired him to become a hero, a nurse, and a firefighter. He tells the camera that he had filmed this for The Bachelorette, but it won’t air now that he isn’t on the show.

As for Matt Dione, he’s currently making headlines for past direct messages he sent to a user by the name of Sam Smithburger. She posted screenshots of messages that appear to be from Matt, revealing that he had consistently written to her, including messages that he wouldn’t be giving up on her.

Hannah B’s season of The Bachelorette is currently in production.

The Bachelorette premieres Monday, May 13 at 8/7c on ABC.
