Is Chris Harrison leaving The Bachelor behind? Montage confuses everyone

During last night’s premiere of The Bachelor, Chris Harrison teased that some unseen footage was about to air. What he didn’t know was that it was a tribute to him as he had been the host of The Bachelor since 2002. His mom was in Dallas, Texas, to help introduce this special montage.

While it aired, Chris watched with tears in his eyes, taking a journey down memory lane. And while viewers loved seeing a younger Chris Harrison, some thought the montage meant that Chris was saying goodbye to the franchise.

On Twitter, people immediately started guessing that Harrison was retiring, leaving his hosting job behind. He’s currently the host of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor In Paradise and the brief Bachelor Winter Games special.

Some people called Chris the greatest of all time, and others suggested that it was time for Harrison to step down and look for love on The Bachelor himself.

Harrison seems to be very silent about his love life. According to College Candy, he was married to Gwen Harrison from 1994 to 2012. The same website claims he was linked to a former The Bachelor contestant, Ashley Spivey, in 2012, and that he was linked to AshLee Frazier in 2016. However, Harrison never confirmed anything.

It seems he’s indeed a private person who just wants to focus on his two children at present time. Perhaps he’ll continue to be American’s most eligible Bachelor for years to come?

We should also note that Chris Harrison has made no mentions of him retiring. It sounds like he will be on the show for as long as ABC will have him — which is probably forever.

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
