Bill Maher hosted his third consecutive live broadcast Friday following two special episodes of Real Time covering the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Cleveland.
On last night’s show he was joined by Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, actress America Ferrera, foreign affairs expert Ian Bremmer, political correspondent Ana Marie Cox and former Ga. Rep. Jack Kingston.
Maher talked about Islamic terrorism issues, culture wars and especially “Circus Peanut Messiah” GOP presidential nominee, Donald Trump.
Trump is what Bill summarized as “50s guy”…that guy who waxes on about the 1950s, when dinner was on the table after a day of work from a supplicant non-working wife and times were rosy — if you were a white guy.
Maher, who will also cover the Democratic National Convention, said: “Because 50s guys, guys like Trump who actually say, ‘I’m a ’50s guy,’ we KNOW what they mean.”
Then he aired a vintage clip of Trump telling ABC News: “I think putting a wife to work is a very dangerous thing.
“When I come home and my dinner’s not ready I go through the roof.”
Maher added: “The 50s guy…he likes steak, he keeps a bottle of Scotch in his desk and he thinks an educated woman should be locked up.” Flash to a picture of Hillary Clinton.
He also shared a rare family portrait of Trump’s family when he was a child…

Bill also welcomed Democratic activist and actress America Ferrera for a conversation about her work as a surrogate for Hillary Clinton.
