“I tell you the Gods Are With Us!” – Floki episode 308
TV Picks: History’s Vikings Preview ‘To The Gates’ Will Shock You VIDEO
Hubris has a way of biting you in the ass. Religious fervor and fanaticism also.
In the next installment of “Vikings,” we see how Ragnar is still missing the good counsel of Athelstan and FINALLY, in a Lagertha-light season of “Vikings” we get a whole episode of our lady Lagertha and her Norse brethren in action!
Scary horns, shield tunnels, and Parisians wetting themselves slightly are what you have to look forward to this “Thorsday.” But what transpires? We aren’t telling (a lot), so go lick someone else’s palm!
However, the Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) conundrum that Ragnar faces does continue.
When “Vikings” returns on History Channel with season 3 episode 8, titled “To the Gates!”, it might show King Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) as a changed person, scarred from grief.
The season finale will air on April 23. Luckily, season four is a “go” and we will probably be seeing a 10-episode season next year.
“What am I to do now? I hate you for leaving me. There is nothing that can console me know. I’m changed.” – Ragnar
There are discernible psychological and physical changes in Travis Fimmel’s portrayal of this epic character and by the time he rolls up on Paris, we see mannerisms and tics that show Ragnar may not be “A-OK.”
Another thing to pay attention to is Porunn. She is not emotionally well either.
Tune in to History Channel this Thursday, April 9, at 10pm for “Vikings” season 3 episode 8 “To the Gates!”
Meanwhile a Rollo shirtless three-fer:
The Viking army embarks and Paris goes into lockdown as the army prepares the defense, overseen by Count Odo. The Vikings are determined to make it through the gates of Paris and conquer the city; they will stop at nothing to succeed.
But whose God is the prevailing deity of this death match?
