Gumballs! Below Deck Med fans slam guests over bizarre request

Gumballs and Hannah Ferrier on Below Deck Mediterranean
The gumballs requested by the guest on Below Deck Med and an unamused Hannah Ferrier

Think you’ve seen and heard the most outrageous requests from the charter guests on Bravo’s Below Deck Mediterranean? Think again! Tonight tart drama breaks out over the sweetest of things.

What’s got the demanding guests in a sour mood? Gumballs, high on the list of everyone’s favorite childhood treats.

Previews from this week’s episode promise that this group of pampered and privileged guests is every bit as challenging as notorious guests Nichelle Gainey and Areca Whatmore were at the start of the season.

“Can you bring me some gumballs,” innocently inquires a sunbathing guest. Second Steward Brooke Laughton happily agrees to the request. Too bad she walks off before catching the ultimatum: “They better not all be white!”

Apparently everyone knows that the best gumballs are green and pink (duh!), but when Brooke returns with a bowl full of whities, the demanding guest acidly informs her, “White’s the only color I don’t like!” Behind Brooke’s back the guest whines, “What are the odds?!”

Off camera First Stew Hannah Ferrier explains how outrageous the strange demand is, with her list of odd guest requests from the past including hookers and fanciful nuts that she’s had to fly in, but never gumballs. These guests are nothing like the amazing charter guests she encountered in last week’s episode!

In the meantime the offended guest tells her cronies she’s about to demand they helicopter in some colored gumballs.

Just in time Hannah pops up with a bowl of bright gumballs. Fans were quick to lay into the guests after the video of their bizarre request was posted online.

One commented on the video on Facebook: “Is that how people act because they are well off? I’d rather be poor and real.”

Another said of the woman who asked for the gumballs: “I’d slap her right off the deck!”

But when the guests finally get their colored gumballs, do they blow smoke at the beautiful First Stew or blow bubbles at each other? Tune in and find out!

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
