Dierks Bentley helped rake in over $500,000 dollars for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Waterkeeper Alliance. The 24th annual Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest, produced by JUMA Entertainment, featuring stars, Olympians and a special musical performance by multi-platinum recording artist Dierks Bentley airs as a one-hour special on CBS Sports this Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 5 PM Eastern, adjacent to NFL Football.
Former American Idol Taylor Hicks will also be featured as part of the 24th Annual Celebrity SkiFest, which took place December 4-7 at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, UT.
This event pairs U.S. Olympic ski legends with celebrities for a weekend of skiing, live music and fundraising for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Waterkeeper Alliance, an organization devoted to protecting freshwater resources around the world.
Taylor helped Dierks Bentley on stage with some scorching country harmonica, serenaded skiers on the slopes with JB Smoove, and cut up with the Crabwizard Captain Keith Colburn for a fun-filled day for a good cause. Hicks will appear on the one-hour CBS Sports special telecast, which will air on Sunday, December 13.
Celebrity attendees included Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Dierks Bentley, Amy Brenneman, Dylan Bruno, Nicole Curtis, Mark Feuerstein, Hill Harper, Rachael Harris, Taylor Hicks, Cheryl Hines (pictured above), hypnotist Chris Jones, Chad Lowe, Diane Neal, Perrey Reeves, J.B. Smoove, and more. The stars were joined by U.S. Olympic medalists Phil and Steve Mahre, Tommy Moe, and Heidi Voelker.
“This annual event has become the gold standard for entertaining environmental awareness,” said Horowitz. “For more than two decades, the Celebrity Ski Fest has opened the season at the #1 ski resort in America with a gala and ski race for the benefit of an incredible organization, and with the support of generous sponsors. This year, with a private Dierks Bentley show in the lobby of The Montage, and a star-studded line-up of celebrity ski racers, the show is going to be extra special.”
“The Skifest is key to our fundraising efforts, providing vital funds needed to continue our mission of protecting the world’s water supply,” said Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President of Waterkeeper Alliance. “With the ever-increasing importance of clean water worldwide, the Waterkeeper Alliance is ever appreciative of the support that the attendees, Olympians, and JUMA Entertainment bring to the event.

In addition to the ski race, the weekend included a Celebrity Poker Tournament, and a live auction presided over by the super-auctioneer John Curley, who had the assembled crowd enraptured as they emptied their wallets for the benefit of the Waterkeeper Alliance. J.B. Smoove stepped on stage to cuddle a chocolate lab puppy who went home with actor Chad Lowe in exchange for a donation squarely in the five figure range.
