The show is on the heels of Bill’s announced live Facebook event in November, a week prior to the general election.
This will be a truly interesting panel as Moore was interviewed and warned that the “Brexit states”, including his own Michigan, will likely vote for Trump.
He reasons that will happen because of Trump’s audacity to speak truth to power with corporations, in line with the feelings of the working class angry at the elites who have been running the country for the last eight years.
Also, Jones is an outspoken opponent of Donald Trump, saying at the last debate: “You can’t polish this turd.” He added during CNN’s post-debate analysis: “This man has demonstrated an appalling lack of patriotism.”
Meanwhile, Handler spoke at the Fortune Most Powerful Women’s Summit about Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential candidate. She said: “I understand that Hillary Clinton isn’t everybody’s favorite candidate, but for me, she’s qualified for the job, more qualified than anybody else, and I’m willing to forgive all the other shortcomings.”
HBO just announced that Jones is the top-of-show interview guest, while comedian Handler is the mid-show interview guest. The roundtable guests are political strategist Kristen Soltis Anderson, documentarian Michael Moore and former NY Rep. Rick Lazio.
Real Time with Bill Maher airs Fridays at 10pm on HBO.
