Slight spoilers and some of the previous week’s action is discussed

The White Shirt gang is kicking some major kishkas on Sunday’s Berlin Station on Epix.

In the episode titled ‘In Cold hell,” directed by Christoph Schrewe, our exclusive clip shows Robert Kirsch (Leland Orser) and Kolya Akulov (Dejan Cukic) meet late at night on a bridge as Kirsch hands him a photo.

Kolya says: “What is this?”

Always with the best lines, Kirsch replies: “Lost dog, want him back?”

Kolya smiles and plays along with Kirsch to a point, and says: “He’s not one of mine.”

Not having his smile-to-your-face lies, Kirsch gets impatiient and says: “You! Come on! That man is Sergei Basarov (Julian Kostov) part of [Vassily] Krik (Mikhail Boutchine) private army. We have footage of him in Tallinn and can link him to the massacre of the monument. He is incontrovertible proof of Krik’s move in Estonia.”

Defiant and holding fast, Kolya says: “Tell me you are not wasting my time with this article five nonsense?”

The missing Daniel Miller (Richard Armitage) is in play. Kirsch says: “I want Daniel Miller, fair trade.”

Kolya laughs. “Now who is looking for a lost dog?”

Watch as the two argue over the validity of the photo as Kolya wants to know what Kirsch really wants. Watch to see how Miller’s possible release is negotiated on the next episode.

Olen Steinhauer’s Berlin Station is now in its third season. Berlin Station is a modern spy thriller centering on Daniel Miller (Armitage), an undercover agent who had come from the CIA station in Berlin, Germany.

He now works under Valerie Edwards (Michelle Forbes) and Robert Kirsch (Orser) as Miller is a pawn in the tense Estonian political uprising stirred by Russian operatives.

Also, this season, former Berlin Station boss Steven Frost (Jenkins) is mixed into the action as more an advisor as newcomer Torres (Cordova) works out in the field.

And last season’s station chief BB Yates (Ashley Judd) surfaced last episode as Valerie has a meeting with her and pointedly asks her why she has returned. Ostensibly it is to help retrieve Miller but in their conversation it was revealed BB knew Torres pretty well (she even had a nickname for him) was there also to report back to Washington on Berlin Station’s overall progress, alerting Valerie and creating a bit of tension.

Also during tonight’s episode, Frost (Richard Jenkins) introduces Torres (Ismael Cruz Córdova) to “an old friend,” whose new identity helps them infiltrate the Russian elite.

Daniel’s handler April (Keke Palmer) also helps Kirsch (Leland Orser) work to initiate a hostage swap.

Watch to see how Orser’s Kirsch handles the wily Kolya in this snippet:

Berlin Station airs Sundays at 9/8c, only on EPIX.
