Gotham paid tribute to crew member Barry Friedman at the end of the latest episode on FOX — following his death last year.

A title card as the episode drew to a close read “In Memory of Barry Friedman”.

It comes after Friedman — a post-production coordinator on the show — passed away in August, 2018.

His sister-in-law Kristen Friedman revealed the tragic news in a public post on his Facebook page two days after he passed away — revealing that his death had been sudden and related to his heart.

She wrote: “On behalf of his loving wife Erin and his devoted family Randee, Richard, and Andy Friedman, it is with great sadness and regret that I have to announce that Barry passed away on August 27th at home.

“His passing was sudden and heart related. There was no pain. Join us in remembering, mourning and celebrating our dear, dear Barry.”

Barry had worked on Gotham since 2017, as post-production coordinator on 22 episodes and lead post-production coordinator on 11 episodes.

Previous to that he had worked in the same role on the TV series Shut Eye in 2016, The Player in 2015 and Man Seeking Woman, also in 2015.

Prior to that he worked in other production roles on Wilfred, The League, The Client List and The Late Show with Craig Kilborn, according to his IMDb profile. He also edited and directed a string of short films.

Gotham airs Thursdays at 8/7c on FOX.
