The voting for America’s Got Talent: The Champions hasn’t been easy for all fans to understand. The shift from America voting to just having “superfans” do the voting has confused a lot of viewers.

We wrote an article on who the superfans are last week. They are a group of AGT fanatics who applied and were placed in one of 50 positions to vote during the first rounds of The Champions.

Each night, the judges get to use the Golden Buzzer once, and the AGT superfans get to select one other contestant to make the finals.

So what happens after that? That’s a question that a lot of fans are asking as the second episode of the season airs on NBC.

How long do only ‘superfans’ get to vote on AGT The Champions?

Here is the bad news. Unfortunately, the show was pre-recorded and NBC has stated that there will be no live vote — which means the superfans will maintain their power all season.

The normal AGT voting site explains how during the first five episodes of America’s Got Talent: The Champions the superfans will help select acts to move on to the finals, before the final 10 will compete to become the overall AGT champion. It clearly states that “voting is not open to the public.”

Only the superfans get to vote on AGT: The Champions. The panel is supposed to be representative of all 50 states, though, and fairly chosen from a large number of people who applied for the positions.

Hopefully, they make good selections, as those 50 people are standing in for “America” on the show.

America’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Monday nights at 8/7c on NBC.
