Rapper XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, said a final goodbye to her slain son on Saturday by sharing a photo of his mausoleum at the site of his final resting place. The photo, captioned, “my guardian angel,” shows a huge stone monument engraved with the late rapper’s stage name, XXXTentacion, and his real name, Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy.

Ms. Bernard and her family had earlier attended a public memorial service held on Wednesday, June 27, at the BB&T Center, an indoor arena in Sunrise, Florida that is the home venue of the NHL’s Florida Panthers.

The public service gave thousands of fans the opportunity to pay their last respects to the controversial 20-year-old rapper who was shot and killed on Monday, June 18, in Florida. Fans sang lyrics from XXXTentacion’s songs as he was laid out with flowing braids in a casket.

A private funeral was later held on Thursday, June 28. The solemn ceremony was attended by XXXTentacion’s family, friends, and colleagues, including fellow rappers Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, and singer Erykah Badu, TMZ reported.

XXXTentacion was shot and killed by two men as he walked out of a motorcycle dealership. TMZ obtained a copy of the rapper’s death certificate, which confirmed that he died after he was rushed to the hospital following the shooting. Although police first described the killing as a  random robbery, his family insisted from the start that it was a targeted killing.

Investigators have since arrested Dedrick Devonshay Willians, 22, from Pompano Beach, in connection with the shooting, and charged him with first-degree murder, according to the Sun. The second suspect in the shooting, identified by Broward County Sheriff’s Office as Robert Allen, 22, remains at large, according to WPTV.

XXXTentacion’s mother, known to family and friends simply as Cleo, filed a probate for her son’s estate on Monday, a week after he was murdered. He left behind an 11-page will that was executed on November 17, 2017, seven months before his death. Multiple media sources reported that XXXTentacion left everything to his mom and two brothers.

It was widely rumored that he had premonitions of his own death and that weeks before his death. he feared that his enemies were closing in on him. Sources close to the family revealed that he knew that his enemies were after his life and he became fearful of leaving his home. Other sources revealed that he was warned only weeks before his death to beef up the security around him.

An Instagram Live video he produced shortly before he died appears to support the claim that he had premonitions of his own death. In the video, he talked about what he wanted as his legacy if he died violently or unexpectedly.

“If worse thing comes to worst, and I f***ing die or some s*** and I’m not able to see out my dreams, I at least want to know that the kids perceived my message and were able to make something of themselves and able to take my message and use it and turn it into something positive and to at least have a good life,” he said in the video.

Sad! a music video he filmed a few weeks before his death was released posthumously on Thursday, the day his private funeral was held in Florida. In the video, he attends his own funeral and views his corpse in a casket. He then fights his revived corpse and kills his “old self,” as a way of dramatizing his struggle to make a fresh start.

XXXTentacion was believed to have died without having fathered a child, but his mother announced shortly after his death that her son’s former girlfriend was pregnant with his child.

As evidence, Cleo shared an image of an ultrasound captioned, “He left us a final gift.” However, she did not comment on the question of the child’s status regarding the late rapper’s estate.
