St. Louis rapper Veeno Gunna was shot and killed on Sunday afternoon in an incident that was caught on camera.  

According to reports surrounding the rapper’s death, the 35-year-old, real name Vincent Sanders, was killed after a confrontation at a South St. Louis gas station with a man who allegedly harassed his niece. 

Veeno’s friend and fellow recording artist Erik Bothazy stated that the rapper recieved a call from his niece about being harassed by an unidentified man. 

The 35-year-old rapper reportedly went to assist his niece and ended up in a confrontation where punches were exchanged with the alleged shooter. During the confrontation, Veeno was reportedly shot by a 42-year-old man and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The tragic incident was recorded by a bystander and shared multiple times on Facebook. At the time of writing this report, no suspect has been named by the local law enforcement. Police are reviewing the surveillance footage at the gas station where the shooting took place.  

Veeno Gunna was well known in his hometown in the underground scene. He worked with local producer Jay E, who also produced Nelly’s breakout hit Country Grammar. 

Veeno was last active on his Twitter and Instagram account the day before his death.
