Kim Kardashian has called for a change in gun laws in the US following the Orlando shooting which left 50 people dead.

The star took to Twitter to vent her outrage, saying that her family had “repeatedly” asked Congress to change legislation which allows dangerous people to buy guns.

She said: “Nothing has changed!!!! People continue to senselessly die. When will these gun laws be changed?!?!?!?!!!!?????”

Kim, 35, also retweeted a string of tweets from other people, including one from actor and musician Troye Sivan and another pointing out that the gunman used the AR-15 rifle, the same weapon used in several other mass shootings.

Kim has taken to twitter to call for a change in gun control laws after David Conley allegedly murdered his ex Valerie Jackson, her partner Dwayne Jackson, and six children with a gun he reportedly bought online.

Omar Mateen, the gunman in the attack at Orlando’s gay nightclub Pulse, had been named on a terrorist watch list and had been investigated twice by the FBI over suspicions he was sympathetic to terrorist causes.

He bought the rifle and pistol used in the attacks using his firearms license a week before the attack on Sunday.

A string of other celebrities have also taken to the internet to pay tribute to the victims.

Justin Timberlake said: “I hope we can wake up and realize we are ALL THE SAME. Just humans. One species. Just wanting to be LOVED.”

Sending so much love to the friends and family who lost loved ones in this devastating shooting in Orlando….. Sending peace to the souls injured and killed.
