Cardi B’s Rolling Loud performance should have been the crown jewel to end her year.
Instead, the hyped up end of the year performance was a bit of a surprise, both for Cardi and her fans in the audience, after Offset showed up on stage with a huge apology for his estranged wife.
This wasn’t Offset’s first apology since he was allegedly caught stepping out again — and it probably won’t be his last.
And while Offset may really be sorry for loads of cheating rumors during his one-year marriage to the hottest female rapper on the planet, it seems there’s only so much a girl can take.
Offset’s apology
Cameras were up in the audience as the Narcos rapper decided to make a grand gesture and pop up on Cardi in a bid to win her back. Since his online pleas weren’t working, it appears he thought the dramatic apology would melt her heart and get him back in her good graces.
It all went down after Cardi B finished performing her Migos collaboration Motorsport. When Offset walked on stage, the crowd went wild.
After conspiring with Cardi’s publicist, Offset arranged to have a huge cake and flower arrangement brought out on stage. It spelled out “Take Me Back Cardi” and that is exactly what Offset begged her to do.
“I just wanna tell you I’m sorry, bro, in person, in front of the world,” he said. “I love you. Whatever I gotta do to show you that, I’m there.”

The two spoke privately on stage for a minute, with Cardi B looking pretty angry about the interruption of her set. Things certainly didn’t go the way Offset was hoping and he ended up leaving the stage empty handed as Cardi B continued her concert at the Rolling Loud festival.
Even with the surprise guest, Cardi was able to jump right back into her set like a true superstar. Even though she was irritated, she didn’t miss a beat. She did seem to put a little extra emphasis on certain lyrics when she was performing Be Careful just a few songs later, though.
Cardi B responds to Offset apology
After the show, Cardi B took to Instagram Live to talk about Offset’s pop up. She wasn’t happy about it. In fact, Cardi made it clear that the surprise apology was pretty annoying.
The I Like It rapper definitely didn’t like it and talked about how she’s hurting and tired. It’s been an emotional two weeks for Cardi since she announced the looming divorce and while she did comment that it would take some time, it seems that she still isn’t warming to the idea of taking Offset back.

One thing Cardi did warn about, despite their separation, is that she didn’t want to see “anybody talking crazy” about Offset because he’s still family. She explained that baby Kulture loves her daddy and the last thing they need is for the Migos rapper to be trashed publicly.
Offset responds to Cardi B rejection
On Sunday, Offset explained his pop up at the Rolling Loud concert on Twitter.
“All of my wrongs have been made public, i figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too,” Offset wrote. “A n***a was just trying …..thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh.”
At the time of writing, that was the last Offset had written publicly about his split with Cardi B. Since posting about the public rejection, he has only shared promotional tweets.
Cardi B fans troll Offset
Even though Cardi B asked her fans to lay off her baby daddy, they have been trolling Offset without mercy. The comments under his tweet were vicious but the Cardi fans flocking to Instagram have been even more savage.
“All the money, fame, cars, and jewelry will not get your ex back! Quit sticking it in every female that gives you a second of attention and maybe you wouldn’t be in this jam,” one commenter wrote. “Not to mention, you spend money like it’s water…..you’ll be broke and filing bankruptcy in 3 years, and asking your ex for money!”
Another wrote, “raised by a strong black woman… but you don’t respect your wife enough to treat as so… don’t add up … but I’m pretty sure you’re realizing all that now.. it’s hitting you HARD… it usually does after the fact OG.!! When it’s too late.!!!”
Even a picture of Offset’s mom wasn’t off-limits for those who are team Cardi. There are many comments about the cheating scandal and looming divorce but one comment stood out the most. It reads, “This is a mother for a thot man, his name is Loffset.”
She says it’s not a stunt
Many fans have suggested that the Cardi B-Offset divorce is just a stunt. After all, Offset’s first solo album should be dropping any day now.
Cardi has made it clear that this breakup is not a stunt and that she has all the publicity she could ever need. Why would she and Offset fake something so serious? So far, it looks like Cardi is done with her baby daddy and ready to move on without him.
Time will tell if Cardi is willing to forgive Offset yet again or if this is it after nearly their entire relationship has been plagued by infidelity rumors.
