Lineups revealed for 2016 Chicago and Denver Riot Fest

Morrissey, The Misfits and more – you get it all with this amazing array of festival lineups

Riot Fest have shared their full 2016 list of artists confirmed for their Chicago outing, and it is the lineup of your high-school self’s dreams.

The people behind Riot Fest practically broke the internet when they announced the first confirmed headliner for the 12th edition of the tastemaking festival: a reunited Misfits, including Glenn Danzig and Doyle for the first time in 33 years, no big deal right?

Now with the full lineup revealed, it is beyond comparison. The only way I can best articulate my excitement is to ask at what other festival this year can you see Morrissey, the original Misfits (sans Bobby Steele and others, I know, let’s not split hairs here), the soon disbanding Motion City Soundtrack, Gwar, Tiger Army, Nas, Death Grips, Thursday, Leftover Crack AND Brand New?

The Chicago festival takes place September 16-18, just a few weeks after Riot Fest’s Denver outing, which takes place September 2-4 featuring performances from The Misfits, Ween, Death Cab For Cutie along with exclusive performances from Sleater-Kinney, Jane’s Addiction, Wolf Parade, Tyler the Creator and many others.

No matter which one you’re picking this September, it is a guaranteed great time.

While some of you are incredulously trying to wrap your heads around the full monstrosity that is the lineup of the Chicago edition, I have picked ten of the obvious must see acts. Check them out below:

1. Motion City Soundtrack

2. Refused

3. Brand New

4. Big Ups

5. F**ked Up

6. The Specials

7. Gwar

8. Leftover Crack

9. Morrissey

10. Misfits
