The confirmation follows right after an report by Korean celebrity news outlet Dispatch. In it, they revealed Kai and Jennie were dating. They also included pictures of the pair taken on a late-night date back in November of 2018.

It should also be noted that YG Entertainment were the first to respond to the Kai and Jennie dating. At the time, they claimed to not know about the relationship and were currently looking into the matter. Not long after, they said that SM Entertainment would be releasing a statement on the couple.

Congratulations to the K-Pop Idols!

Kai and Jennie’s new year starts out with a bang as their relationship is being outed. But now they are known, they continue onward not only with their relationship, but with success as K-pop idols in their respective groups.

Starting with Kai, he along with his fellow members just came off of their latest comeback, a repackaging of their fifth studio album Don’t Mess Up My Tempo titled Love Shot. The repackaged album didn’t do as well as the original album, but the song is at least catchy.

As for Jennie, she along with the other members of Black Pink released their first Japanese studio album Blackpink in Your Area back on November 23, 2018. It featured Japanese versions of nine of their songs.

A little over a week before that, Jennie made her solo artist debut. Her album “Solo” sold over 43,000 copies in South Korea alone. As for the title track song under the same name, it sold about 60,000 downloads in China and 10,000 downloads in the United States.
