Who are the members of the new K-pop girl group?

Not much is known about the new K-pop girl group to debut under JYP Entertainment at this moment. However, we do know at least three of the members.

The first member is Shin Ryu-Jin, the female winner of JTBC music survival show MIXNINE. The second member is Lee Chaeryeong who previously appeared on both SIXTEEN on Mnet and K-Pop Star 3 on the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS).

The third member is Hwang Yeji. She is a JYP trainee who recently made a stir as a contestant on The Fan on SBS. Junho of 2PM introduced her as the “hidden weapon of JYP Entertainment.” Despite his faith, she did not appeal to the celebrity panelists known as the “fan masters.” Nevertheless, Yeji’s performance and surprisingly low score started trending among K-pop fans.

A history of successful K-pop girl groups

Fans are anticipating JYP Entertainment’s new K-pop girl group and many are wishing them the best. To be fair, though, them being backed by JYP Entertainment is more than good enough given the label’s history with K-pop girl groups.

All of JYP Entertainment’s girl groups are successful in accordance to their time and Hallyu’s influence. Wonder Girls became the first K-pop girl group to chart in the United States with their song Nobody. Miss A followed after them and had a huge following in China given the fact Fei and Jia are of Chinese descent. Finally, Twice is currently the most popular K-pop girl group in the world today.

With such history, JYP Entertainment’s new K-pop girl group has the backing to be the next in a line of popular girl groups formed under the label.
