Alwoo dead: Detroit rapper ‘killed in shooting’

Detroit rapper Alwoo has been killed in a shooting, according to reports.

Reports about the up-and-coming musician’s death came after news of an incident in Farmington Hills, a suburb to the northwest of Detroit.

According to fan tributes, which have already started pouring in, the as-yet unidentified victim of the shooting is Alwoo.

According to Click on Detroit, Farmington Hills police officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Retreat at Farmington Hills Apartments in the early hours of Monday morning.

Two men were reportedly shot through a sliding glass door, from the outside, at around 1:15am. Police believe that the targets in the shooting were not random.

One man died in the shooting, and that man is believed to be Alwoo.

The other man survived and was transported to hospital. It’s not clear how serious his injuries are at this point but he is expected to recover.

Police are currently asking for information about the incident.

Fans have been quick to pay tribute to local rapper Alwoo even though the shooting victim’s identity still hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Alwoo was relatively new on the hip-hop scene, but was prolific in a short time. He had already released four albums in just over a year with the most recent being Glocks R Us in 2018.
