The Wizard of Oz leads TCM’s Big Screen Classics return to theaters

We’re off to see the wizard … and a bunch more! MGM’s classic film, The Wizard of Oz will be celebrating its 80^th anniversary in grand style by returning to theaters for three days this month as it leads Fathom Events and Turner Classic Movies’ “TCM Big Screen Classics” movie series for 2019.

This also marks the fourth year that the two entities have paired up to bring favorite movies back to the big screen allowing new generations to see the films as they were intended to be seen.

Many milestones will be celebrated with this year’s selection of movies and each presentation will include behind-the-scene stories and trivia by TCM Primetime Host Ben Mankiewicz. Each film will be shown in over 500 theater screens across the country.
