A new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been released by Disney in Japan – featuring large amounts of previously unseen footage.
The trailer centers around Daisy Ridley’s character Rey and droid BB-8, interspersed with other scenes including one where Kylo Ren holds a lightsaber threateningly to Rey’s neck.
At one point Rey tells BB-8: “I know all about waiting…for my family.” In other scenes Princess Leia and C-3PO are seen together with Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) in the background, and Rey introduces herself to John Boyega’s Finn.

The trailer ends with the payoff: “Hope is not lost today. It is found.”
