James Gandolfini final film titled “The Drop,” has debuted it’s first trailer. The crime drama was originally titled “Animal Rescue.”
Because of the sad news in June of last year that James Gandolfini had passed away, this will be his last film. It also looks like yet another powerful performance from the talented “Sopranos” actor judging from the trailer below.
Alongside James Gandolfini, the Fox Searchlight film stars – Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Matthias Schoenaerts, John Ortiz, Ann Dowd and James Frecheville.
The Drop is based on a screenplay from Dennis Lehane, the author of “Mystic River” and “Shutter Island.” The film is an inside look organized crime’s use of local New York City bars as money-laundering “drops.”

“The Drop” is released in theaters across the USA from September 19th and the UK from November 14th.
