I’ve never been a techie geek and I pretty much take whatever hand-me-down techno-goods my friends bestow upon me because they can’t stand that I’m not more mechanically savvy.
I’m sure the last time I actually bought any new-fangled gadget I did so because it was a pretty color and not because it would actually improve my life. So, when I had the opportunity to review some new tech gear I jumped at the chance just to prove to the millennial voice inside of me that, “yeah, whatever, I can do anything because I was always told I am amazing”.
If I can appreciate and understand these new gadgets, then you are pretty much guaranteed that it will be idiot-proof and great quality. The idiot-proofing comes from me, and the quality control comes from my techie pals who approved of the items, tested them with me and showed me how they would improve my life.
First up, the Paww SoundBox 10 ( a cordless compact speaker) that looks like a really thick, modern cell phone. It is sleek and sexy and would fit perfectly in any modern post-apocalyptic designed room that Katniss was hiding in before taking on an entire army of advanced warriors who just don’t know the truth about the world!
Back to reality. The Paww speaker is very easy to set up, just juice it and hook it up to your Bluetooth and voila, you got yourself a speaker that offers a crisp and clear sound that belies the size of the actual device. Even turning it up to high (the true test of a good speaker), it doesn’t distort the sound and I swear I didn’t hear any sizzling “esses” or popping “pees.” At $89.95 it is definitely worth the price and a great gift idea for anyone in the family, even the technical nimrod!
Paww also has amazing headphones, more specifically, WaveSound 2. These wireless $199.95 headphones and again, they were easy enough to set up that even I could do it (well, I had my guy do it while I watched saying, ‘oh, hell, I could’ve done that’). These headphones are really comfortable and didn’t make my ears sweaty which is pretty standard for headphones.
The charge lasts up to 36 hours and they have a range of about 60 feet. They are very high-tech looking and feel so light on your ears. You know what that means! Personal dance party in my head.
I love wearing them while cleaning my apartment, I turn on the tunes and I feel like I’m the queen of the club, dancing around the living room with a vacuum and a dust rag. In my EDM fantasy, I’m twirling a light stick and zoning out to Amsterdam’s hottest DJs.
That’s how awesome these headphones are, they literally transport you to a land far, far away because the sound quality is so brilliant!
