Should legends like Goldberg come back to beat today's top stars?

Goldberg came back to SmackDown this past week and issued a challenge to The Fiend Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship.

Goldberg says WWE Universal Champion The Fiend Bray Wyatt is next at Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia

It reminds me of the time
  1. The Rock came back from Hollywood and beat CM Punk to end his very long title reign, just to set up Lesnar vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania.
  2. John Cena came back to beat AJ Styles for the WWE Championship, ending his impressive title reign.
  3. Goldberg came back to beat Kevin Owens to end his Universal title reign.
  4. Brock Lesnar ended Undertaker's Wrestlemania undefeated streak
Any of those moments could have been used to push a current full-time wrestler but was passed off onto someone who wasn't even around much anymore.

If Goldberg beats Wyatt, it ruins the mystique that The Fiend brought and instead of a current superstar getting the rub, it would be a part-time (barely) wrestler who works one or two matches a year.
