WWE superstar Alexa Bliss is reminiscing about her days as a younger wrestling star on the come-up, way before she was the Goddess or The Fiend’s sidekick.

The multi-time champion got her start with WWE’s NXT, where she was initially in a managerial role with Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy before moving on to the singles competition.

Years of hard work in NXT ultimately resulted in her getting drafted to the main roster. She’s since captured multiple championships and is on the verge of adding another tag team championship reign to her list.

On Sunday, the 31-year-old Bliss shared a throwback photo with her millions of fans and followers in which she wore a familiar blue and white tutu dress with a sleeveless blue top, white knee pads, and boots.

Along with the glittery fairy costume, Bliss had much shorter and all-blonde hair with none of the long blonde and pink streaks fans see her with these days.

In the throwback photo, the wrestling star, also known as Five Feet of Fury, stood on some steps backstage, looking ready to step through a curtain for an arena entrance.

“Day 1. If I could go back…what would I tell her…,” Bliss asked in a contemplative caption on her IG photo.

That included marrying singer Ryan Cabrera earlier this year. She’ll look to add more achievements to her pro wrestling resume in the next several weeks.

Alexa preparing for several big WWE matches

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship is up for grabs in a tournament that’s been underway for several weeks. The championship was vacated when then-champions Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out ahead of a scheduled match on Raw in May.

In the tournament’s opening round, Bliss and her tag team partner, Asuka, took care of business as they defeated the team of Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop on Raw. However, they’ll face another tough team in the second round, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky.

According to ComicBook.com, that match takes place Monday, August 22, on WWE Raw. Their report also indicates that WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will be on RAW, which takes place in her home area of Toronto, Ontario.

The two tag teams cross paths again in several weeks at WWE’s Clash at the Castle, a special event in Cardiff, Wales. Bliss and Asuka will team up with WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair to battle Bayley along with Dakota and Iyo in a six-woman tag match.

Depending on how Asuka and Alexa fare in the tag team tournament, the duo has the opportunity to capture the tag team titles for another reign. It could be their first reign together as champs, as they’ve each held the championship with another partner before.

Bliss teamed with Nikki Cross, aka Nikki A.S.H., for two different reigns. Asuka also was a tag champ two times. She teamed with Io Shirai as part of the Kabuki Warriors in 2019, and they held the titles between Alexa and Nikki’s two reigns. Asuka won the titles again as Charlotte Flair’s tag team partner in December 2020.

Another win for Bliss would give her a third tag team championship reign adding to her multiple reigns as WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion.

She added to her history in July, winning the WWE 24/7 Championship for a brief reign that night. However, it made her the first woman to have won every possible championship currently available to women in WWE.

WWE Raw airs Mondays at 8/7c on USA. WWE Clash at the Castle streams on Saturday, September 3, on Peacock.
