Every pro athlete knows how important it is to stay hydrated, and pro boxer Avril Mathie is no different.
Rest days are important for athletes, too, though it seems that Avril has a hard time with her rest sometimes.
In a recent share, she revealed that she was recovering from training with some beach volleyball — not the most relaxing sport, but hey, it’s never a bad thing to get your sweat on.
“Maybe one day I’ll recover from raining with some hobbies that don’t make me sweat so much… but til then at least I’ve got [BODYARMOR LYTE] to keep me properly hydrated,” she wrote in her Instagram share.
She wore a red string bikini for the outing and held a bottle of BODYARMOR in her hand, staying true to her post, even though it was an advertisement.
The deal she was promoting for the hydrating drink was a 10 for $10 deal on BODYARMOR at Publix branches, a supermarket chain based out of Florida.
Avril Mathie partnered up with BODYARMOR
BODYARMOR has become a major staple in athletic partnerships and sports drinks and for good reason — they are pretty good and hydrating.
Now, the best hydration is obviously some good old-fashioned water, but sometimes we need a little extra flavor and sweetness to really get us through the day.
That’s where BODYARMOR comes in. This isn’t an ad for BODYARMOR, but we understand why athletes like Avril Mathie partner with the brand.
They offer four primary types of drinks. There’s the standard BODYARMOR sports drink made with no artificial sweeteners, flavors, or dyes, and the drinks are full of potassium, electrolytes, and antioxidants. Flavors include Strawberry Banana, Orange Mango, Blue Raspberry, and more.
Then there’s BODYARMOR LYTE, which has no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners, and is a low-calorie option. Plus, the flavors rock, with Peach Mango, Blueberry Pomegranate, and Strawberry lemonade being among the fruity tastes.
They also sell BODYARMOR EDGE, which comes with 140mg of caffeine, and the BODYARMOR SportWater, a classic alkaline water with electrolytes.
We may not all work out the same way Avril does, but hydration is important for everyone, athlete or not.
Avril Mathie packs a punch at the gym
As a pro boxer, it’s only natural that a lot of Avril’s training includes practicing her punches with a punching bag or partner.
She shared an update with her followers earlier this week where she said she was “just excited to hit something again after a week off being sick.”
As far as we can tell, her sickness didn’t take away from her skill at all, as her muscles were toned and defined, and her punches clearly packed strength behind them.
We wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of one of those!
