Luann de Lesseps made headlines last December when she was arrested in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve. She was reportedly intoxicated and was accused of kicking a police officer.
On The Real Housewives of New York City, Luann has been filmed having many drunken nights in the past. She has never become violent, but her choices have sometimes been clouded by the alcohol.
As the days passed, the details of her arrest gradually came out, revealing some apparently embarrassing actions by the reality star. Shortly afterwards, she checked herself into a rehab facility.
All of this happened after a whirlwind year, with Luann having married Tom D’Agostino the previous New Year’s Eve in Palm Beach. This was her first time back since the two divorced after only months of being married.
The arrest video was made public and seems to match up with most of the accounts regards what actually happened. Luann was filming The Real Housewives of New York at the time, hence why it is being addressed on the show.
In July, Luann will reportedly plead guilty to a lesser charge than the one she was initially arrested for.
However, the damage to her image may already have been done. She may not be a felon, but the the coverage of the event and the video of her arrest will be sure to stay with her for a while.
