Kurt Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, married earlier this month for the second time.

Frances wed pro skater Tony Hawk’s son Riley Hawk, another pro skater.

According to TMZ, the two obtained their marriage license in September and formally said “I do” on October 7.

Their wedding officiant was none other than Frances’ godfather, R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe.

Riley and Frances have been dating since early 2021, the two being together for over two years before tying the knot.

This is Frances’ second wedding, the first being to Isaiah Silva. She filed for divorce after less than two years together in 2016.

Who is Riley Hawk?

Just like his dad, Tony, Riley is a professional skateboarder. He became a pro at 21 and has even been featured in his dad’s video game series.

Not only is Riley a pro skater, but he’s also a musician and is the frontman of the punk band Warish.

He’s also Tony’s first son from his marriage to Cindy Dunbar and has three siblings from his dad’s other relationships.

As far as Riley is concerned, he’s just happy to be skating.

In a 2017 interview with Thrasher Magazine, he revealed what he saw in his future: “In five years I would like to be doing exactly what I’m doing right now. Yeah, if I can do that then I’m stoked. I don’t really have too many more goals or aspirations I’d like to achieve besides just getting to do this as long as I can.”

Almost six years later, Riley can add his new marriage to his future.

Frances Bean opens up about Kurt Cobain in rare interview

Frances tends to keep her life private and out of the spotlight, which many celebrity kids don’t get to do often.

She occasionally shares life updates via Instagram but tends to keep to herself.

However, she did open up about her late father in a rare Rolling Stone interview in 2015.

“My dad was exceptionally ambitious. But he had a lot thrown on him, exceeding his ambition. He wanted his band to be successful. But he didn’t want to be the f**king voice of a generation,” she said at the time.

Frances was only two years old when her father passed away, but it’s clear that Kurt left a legacy that lives on within her.

Congratulations to Frances and Riley! May they spend many years together happily.
