Jill Duggar faced a world of backlash earlier this year when she shared photos of what she did with Derick Dillard while celebrating their anniversary in Branson, Missouri. The Kama Sutra book was on full display and Counting On fans were not impressed.
Followers were shocked at Jill Duggar’s promotion, especially given her conservative beliefs. She quickly amended her post and that seemed to be swept under the rug. The former reality star went back to posting her canned veggie recipes and photos of her children as they play together.
As an aspiring Instagram influencer, Jill Duggar regularly does partner posts. She has done it with Citrus & Lemon on several occasions. This time though, her promotion is bordering on questionable, especially given that her audience is mostly conservative or religious-based.
Instead of posting on her Instagram page for everyone to see, Jill Duggar used her Instagram stories instead. It was there that she was promoting a sexy date idea book. This has garnered plenty of attention already.
Speculation is that there have been money troubles for Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard. He was fired from Counting On, and she decided to quit filming as well. There are plenty of questions about their finances, as in, where is their income coming from?
On top of no longer filming, Derick Dillard is in law school. While he has been working as a file clerk, a position he recently took, that likely won’t support the expenses of a family of four.
It seems that Jill Duggar has been trying to become an influencer for a while now, and her Instagram follower numbers are high enough to make her money if done the right way. If she could, would she sell out to get a bigger payday? At this point, it looks like that might just be what is happening.
