Heather Graham was not going to let social issues fall by the wayside but instead decided to face them head-on. The actress teamed up with her friend and author, Liz Plank, to show support for Tony Evers, the Governor of Wisconsin, and Mandela Barns, the Lieutenant Governor.
The two were seen in Heather’s story showing off their best shimmy.
The Drugstore Cowboy actress wore a white top that cut off above her waist. In pink lettering, the top stated, “I will aid and abet abortion.” She paired it with tiny drawstring black shorts to show off her toned legs.
She kept her makeup simple wearing neutral eyeshadow and nude lip gloss.
The Boogie Nights star wore her blonde hair in loose waves that cascaded off her shoulders.
In her Instagram Story, she told her followers that their vote mattered, especially if they were in Wisconsin. According to the actress, the race is really close, and it is important to support Mandela Barns and Tony Evers in the poles because they planned to look out for women.
Making a directorial debut was not easy for Heather Graham
While many actors have transitioned into directing, like Olivia Wilde or Charlize Theron, Heather admitted it’s not easy. The actress told Interview Magazine that she shopped around her movie, Half Magic, for years before getting it to the public.
She explained to the publication, “It was hard getting the financing. We have a friend named Michael Nickles, who’s a producer on the movie, and I was writing the script during a breakup. I wanted to find a way to laugh at all the things in life that had really upset me, and Michael said, ‘You should direct this.’ He helped me find these financiers, and we went into pre-production, then they told us they didn’t have the rest of the money. We had to shut down the film, and it was devastating. So stressful.”
Heather revealed that things started to look up when she met a man named Bill Sheinberg. He agreed to make the movie if she could get the rights back and there were no legal issues. Heather and Michael fought to get their rights, and they were finally able to make Half Magic as she wanted.

The strapless dress had beading all over the gown. It had boning along the torso to mimic a corset, with padding on the bust. The skirt of the dress was covered in ruffles that fell to the floor. The dress sported a high slit that showed off her toned legs.
She wore matching sandals that featured her red pedicure.
For her makeup, she kept it simple with neutral eyeshadow and pink lipstick.
