When it comes to soapy shenanigans, what goes around comes around on CBS’ sister soaps, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless, and now a fan favorite is back in the saddle!

According to Soap Opera Digest, Matthew Atkinson has joined B&B in the role of Thomas Forrester. Fans last saw the handsome hottie playing Austin on Y&R, from 2014 to 2015.

Pierson Fodé exited the role of Thomas last year and apparently Thomas will come back with a super story that’s too hot to drop.

When we last saw Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) brother he and Caroline were making a beeline for New York.

In an interview with SOD the actor revealed that his return, “was actually a long time coming.” He said he remembered the role of Thomas opening up a few years ago, but this time around he just couldn’t say no.

“I knew everyone there,” he said, adding that, “There’s something very comforting now about being back in the same building.”

We know that Atkinson is set to debut on March 14, but as of yet no details have been spilled about the reason for Thomas’ return.

He is Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor’s (Hunter Tylo) son, so that brings with it a boatload of drama, but Steffy is up to her eyeballs in a torrid mess of epic proportions as well.

Will he help her sort out this devastating Baby Beth/Phoebe problem? If so, he could end up being her accomplice, but then again he may be the one to rat her out.

And don’t count out another try at romance with the gal he kicked to the curb for Caroline — gorgeous (but taken) Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Whatever he gets up to, Thomas is sure to bring some sizzle with him!

The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays during the day on CBS.
