Usually, Bravo runs the same shows on a yearly schedule, meaning the network is fairly predictable in terms of when shows will air. At times, shows can experience a few weeks delay and the Real Housewives franchises have seen months in terms of delays.
The first season of Dirty John aired on November 25, 2018, so fans should expect to hear some kind of news about the second season in the fall of 2019.
A premiere date could fall around late November or early December, but given the holiday schedules and programming, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the show was pushed until January 2020.
As for the second season, Bravo has already given the green light to move ahead, but Connie Britton has also revealed that the show will no longer be about Debra and John.
In an interview with The Wrap, she revealed that she had not been approached for a new season but knew the story would be its own entity.
Given how the real story ended and how the podcast by the same name wrapped up the telling of John Meehan, it makes sense to move on to another real-life dirty, manipulating, and evil John.
While the story of Debra and John shocked many viewers, abusive and manipulative relationships are not uncommon.
In fact, these kinds of relationships are more common that people would like to believe, so chances are that many women – and men – are sitting with a story similar to Debra’s. In other words, Bravo may have plenty of storylines to choose from for additional seasons.
