Game of Thrones footage from Season 8 has finally been revealed. In an HBO preview that debuted during the 2019 Golden Globes, a key scene involving actresses Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke was shown.

As seen in the video below, the Game of Thrones clip reveals Daenerys Targaryen arriving at Winterfell with Jon Snow. She is greeted by Sansa Stark, who lets her know that Winterfell is hers. It’s a poignant scene between two characters that will likely have a huge impact on how the show concludes.

All of this was part of a tease by HBO, showing off the new and returning programs for the network. It also included clips from True Detective, Barry, and Big Little Lies. For fans of HBO programming, there is a lot on the horizon.

The Game of Thrones clip is a huge tease

While viewers and fans are definitely acting really exciting on social media in regard to this Game of Thrones clip, it isn’t exactly what everyone wanted to see. Fans have been waiting patiently for a true Season 8 Game of Thrones trailer, but keep getting teasers from HBO.

The new episodes are coming up quickly, with the show set to return for its final season in April. Game of Thrones Season 8 will also have only six episodes, so there is a lot of ground to cover when it returns this spring. Will the season provide the necessary closure that fans are craving?

Having Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark and Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen in this pivotal scene was a smart move by the network. Giving a peek at Kit Harington as Jon Snow was also a good decision, as it will spur interest in what will take place next between him and Daenerys.

There are a lot of secrets to deal with when the show finally debuts. For now, fans will just have to enjoy this Game of Thrones Season 8 clip.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO with new episodes in April 2019.
