Demi Lovato was recently spotted at the Matsuhisa restaurant in Beverly Hills, getting cozy with fashion designer Henri Alexander Levy. In photos taken by what appears to be the paparazzi, the two were holding hands, and Hollywood Life reports that the two were also spotted kissing.
Who is Henri Levy?
Henri is a successful fashion designer with his own brand, Enfants Riches Deprimes. His work falls on the expensive end, and it has been worn by celebrities, such as Sofia Richie and Kanye West.
Even Demi appears to be a fan, as the website reports she has been wearing his designs. His t-shirts alone can retail for $320.
Henri, who was born Henry Levy in Atlanta, is the son of rich parents. They made their money through innovations in water filtration, but he saw himself as a designer. He explains that his parents enjoyed taking him to the opera and museums, and he himself had a passion for the arts.
His brand, Enfants Riches Deprimes, literally translates to Depressed Rich Kids and in an interview with Complex, Henri opened up about his own struggles with drugs. He was in rehab for the first time at the age of 15. He would later spend time at Cirque Lodge in Utah, and Promises in Malibu.
Levy was inspired to start his brand after a stint at the Betty Ford treatment center in Oregon. At the time, his parents decided to cut him off. His clothing line is currently based in both Los Angeles and Paris.
Other than his clothing line and his stints in rehab, Levy has worked on a documentary called Aluminum Tastes Like Fear. The movie is about his life and the two industries that dominate it – high-end fashion and punk rock.
Henri seems to live a rather private life, as his Instagram account is private. But he did give Vogue some fast facts about himself, including his first celebrity client.
“Home is where my dog is. Sister Morphine by The Rolling Stones [is his favorite song]. I like to smoke when I eat in Paris. LA is where my studio is, and where I spend most of the year, it’s the Wild West for me. My first supporters were Jared Leto and G-dragon,” he told Vogue.
His clothing line has caused some controversy over the choice of words and images, including the word Nazi and his view on drugs. Ashley Benson got into a media firestorm after wearing a t-shirt that simply read DJ Heroin after tweeting to not do drugs. This also came right after Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death in 2014. He died of a drug overdose.
As for Lovato, she is starting to surface again after a relapse this past summer. She was found unconscious in her home back on July 24 and she was treated for narcotics.
Since her relapse and recovery, Demi Lovato has been focusing on working out, her health, and being around positive people. She is rumored to be dating Henri Levy and while it looks like that may be the case, neither of them have confirmed a romance.
