War Within comes to DVD this month

Magnolia Home Entertainment has announced the DVD release of its controversial film, The War Within, on Jan. 31st with the suggested retail price of $28.98.

The film follows a Pakistani engineering student in Paris who is imprisoned and interrogated by Western intelligence services for suspected terrorist activities. Formerly only an intellectual supporter of jihad, Hassan undergoes a radical transformation and embarks upon a terrorist mission, covertly entering the United States to join a cell based in New York City.

After meticulous planning for an event of maximum devastation, all the members of the cell are arrested, except for Hassan and one other. With nowhere else to turn, Hassan must rely on the hospitality of his friend Sayeed, who is living the American dream with his family in New Jersey. What unfolds is a profound human and political drama as we tensely observe the state of mind of a suicide bomber as he tried to decide whether or not to carry out his deadly mission.

The DVD will also have the following special features:

Feature Audio Commentary by Writer/Director Joseph Castelo and Writer/Actor Ayad Akhtar
Deleted Scenes
Theatrical Trailer

The War Within is available for pre-order at Amazon. As of yet, there is not a release date for the UK. Visit the DVD’s database for more information.
