Episode #108: “Bungee Breakfast”

A lingerie model gives new meaning to speed reading, a limber lady hops her way towards the record books, a man snorts pasta through his nose, a daredevil takes breakfast to new heights in the ultimate bungee jump, and much more!

Records:

  • Fastest talker (Video below)
  • Most consecutive jumps on a trampoline grabbing a bar
  • Most spaghetti eaten through the nose
  • Most rope skips with one leg behind the head
  • Most kicks to the head in one minute
  • Highest coffee dunk of a donut with a bungee cord

Monsters and Critics had a quick threebie with host Dan Cortese about the series:

Monsters and Critics: What category would you like to see added for Guinness? What is missing from the annual compilation?

Dan Cortese: I think we’re good on categories! I want to see the challenges keep getting bigger and better – I want to keep topping these unbelievable feats.

M&C: In your opinion, is there a level of OCD behavior that accompanies someone’s drive to be at the top of the Guinness heap in their respective accomplishment?

DC: I think it’s more of dedication and desire to be the best at what these folks do. There is no prize money or Hawaiian vacation given away here. These are everyday people with unique talents who strive to be the best in the world at what they do.

We had a guy that came on last season who attempted Most kicks to the head in a minute and was unable to break the record. He’s back this season to attempt the record again. He trained, took up yoga and practiced until he perfected his craft. He just had that fire inside.

M&C: What are the coolest accomplishments of late? Your favorites?

DC: We had some awesome attempts this season. A few that stand out are Longest time standing in a jet stream, Most bras unhooked in one minute, Longest jump onto a moving truck, Longest time holding free flowing fire hose…I mean who wouldn’t want to check that out??
